Account Manager I
Classification: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: Storm Lake, or Des Moines, IA preferred (Remote status considered for the right candidate.)
Minimum Qualifications: 1 - 3 years of account management 1- 2 marketing agency and/or financial institution experience preferred BA degree in marketing or a related field

SUMMARY:
The Account Manager I responsibilities are focused on account relationships and growth. This person will handle day-to-day client work and assist with client retention and increased share of wallet for assigned accounts.
Currently, this position reports to VP, Client Services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recommend creative, timely and relevant solutions and services by continually evaluating industry trends. Deliver on commitments proactively, and in a timely manner and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Develop marketing and sales proposals, and/or plans for key financial institutions where our solution would be a natural fit to supplement the institution’s core business strategy.
- Learn and demonstrate a high-degree of proficiency in discussing and presenting capabilities to key executives within the financial institutions.
- Apply continued, effective follow up with a high-degree of professionalism and energy, while remaining focused on allowing the prospective partner to engage.
- Represent Mills by attending trade shows, speaking engagements and networking within the financial industry community to build reach and awareness.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Have a sufficient understanding of digital advertising, as well as traditional marketing components.
- Support every associate whenever possible and foster a spirit of teamwork within the agency.
- Be an intricate part of the agency’s long-term growth and success by continually finding ways to improve the agency’s services, processes and strategic position.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Prior experience within financial services, banking or other highly regulated industry preferred.
- Demonstrated project management ability to perform well in a highly dynamic and fluid environment.
- Experience serving a variety of clients in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
