Title: Financial Advertising Compliance Specialist

Location: Des Moines, IA or Storm Lake, IA
Remote worker status considered for the right candidate after initial in-office training.
Minimum Qualifications: 3 - 5 years of experience at a financial institution, a banking degree, or experience in a financial compliance-related field

The Financial Advertising Compliance Specialist’s primary responsibility is to work with team members and clients on recommending and reviewing advertising compliance. This person needs a strong banking background with a good understanding of consumer and business financial products, and practical working knowledge of bank and credit union advertising regulations.
Review client advertisements and marketing materials for compliance and accuracy
Create advertising disclosure drafts for client review, as needed
Research and respond to compliance-related questions and inquiries from our team and clients
Work closely with our team, outside legal and/or compliance teams, and our clients’ compliance contacts to maintain a high level of standards for marketing efforts
Help serve as a compliance and financial product/service expert for client projects
Keep up to date regarding laws and regulations applicable to financial marketing
Assist in creating and delivering compliance training for our account team and rest of staff as applicable
Lead special compliance projects and other duties as assigned
Product knowledge and experience with consumer and business financial products (e.g., deposits, online/mobile services, loans, and investments)
Understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and guidance, particularly as it relates to marketing compliance for financial institutions (e.g., Reg DD, Reg Z, UDAAP/UDAP, etc.)
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills

Trademark and copy sourcing knowledge would be a plus, although not required
Must be able to work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail

Willing to travel when required
